A taste of Southern India at East Ham’s Market Place

New restaurant Dhe Chayakkada has opened at the Market Place in East Ham offering the fabulous flavours of Southern India in the new east London retail destination.

The new family run restaurant joins a growing retail and restaurant line up in East Ham at the new development which can be found just off Myrtle Road.

Dhe Chayakkada is led by Shaji Albert Mini and his team and can be found in the new mall area - offering a delicious selection of South Indian drinks and cuisine. Their menu includes fresh fruit juices, milkshakes, mojitos, biryani, Kerala-style chicken, beef, lamb, fish, Arabic dishes, kappa, and prawn. It’s truly an authentic taste of India on a plate.

The new restaurant launched at the weekend and is open from Sunday through to Saturday from 12pm to 10pm.

Shaji said: “We are so excited to have opened Dhe Chayakkada here at the Market Place in East Ham. We wanted to create a really authentic feel to the space and of course the menu and we are really pleased to be able to share our taste of India with our customers. This is a fabulous and varied cuisine with incredible flavours.

“The Market Place at East Ham is a great location for us to launch our restaurant and we are really pleased with how we have been received in the local community.”

The Market Place development, which has already delivered 277 new homes, is a joint venture between Barratt Homes, Land Management and the award-winning Yorkshire based development team from Dransfield Properties.

Dhe Chayakkada joins a number of other businesses including Starbucks, Blue Jewellers and Mowchi which have recently opened. A host of other businesses are due to open in the coming weeks and months including Holand Play – a soft play concept.
