Boots extends lease at Selby’s Market Cross Centre

17 April 2014

Boots Pharmacy has committed to Selby’s Market Cross Shopping Centre for a further five years – after the company extended its lease at the town centre store.

The 1,445 sq ft unit at the busy shopping centre was rebranded as a Boots pharmacy in 2009.  And this month the pharmacy chain became the latest retailer at Market Cross to extend the company’s lease at the centre which remains fully let.

Boots is based next to Alexander Cards and the Yorkshire Bank at the centre.

Owned by Barnsley based Dransfield Properties, Market Cross has undergone a number of improvements in recent years with a new limestone feature entrance and an on-going programme of traditional shop fronts being installed.

Management Surveyor for Dransfield Properties, James Shepherd, said: “It's great news that the Boots Pharmacy is continuing as a tenant at our Market Cross Shopping Centre in Selby.

"We have been working on a number of key changes in recent years including a programme of replacing some of the shop fronts to a much more traditional style and that work is continuing.”
