Business offering vital advice to farmers and landowners launched in Penistone

A new business offering farmers and landowners vital advice on a wide range of issues has opened at Penistone 1.

Woodcock Rural Surveyors Limited launched this summer at the commercial and office development in Penistone offering a wide range of services including guidance on such things as planning applications, grant applications and property valuations.

The business was launched by Ruth Woodcock, who has around 20 years’ worth of experience in the industry.

After completing a Master’s degree in Rural Estate and Land Management at The Agricultural College in 2005, Ruth qualified as a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors with Strutt and Parker in Northallerton.

She went on to become part of the land management team at Yorkshire Water before joining Neil J Bland Ltd in Penistone, where she gained a wealth of experience working for ten years.

Her reputation has since grown via word of mouth and she has become known for the diligent, pragmatic and quality services she provides.

Ruth runs her business with the help of her colleague - experienced administrative assistant Vicki Sugden.

Ruth said: “I was ready for a new challenge and it has been a very exciting journey launching my own business with the valuable help of Vicki.

“We have a lot of loyal clients, who are the lifeblood of the business, and so I must thank them for their custom.

“We are also always looking out for new clients so I would say to landowners and farmers if you are unsure about something and need some advice, then get in touch with us and I am sure we will be able to help you.”
