New family run salon launches at Fox Valley!

 Mum and daughter Karen Wilson-Maude and Sophie Dakers have opened a brand-new beauty and hair salon this month at Fox Valley’s Independent Quarter.

The Penthouse Hair and Beauty has opened in the newly transformed salon, just above Fox Nails at Fox Valley – catering for both men and women with a range of hairdressing services and fabulous beauty treatments.

Hairdresser Sophie has 19 years of experience with occasion and wedding hair as well as a great reputation for styling and colour, she started her career as an apprentice at Leslie Frances Hair Salon in Barnsley.

Sophie is working alongside her Mum Karen with beauty treatments including facial waxing, semi-permanent lashes, brows and special occasion make up.

The new salon is open Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM - 7 PM (closed on Tuesdays) with out of hours appointments available on request. Karen and Sophie have worked together for several years, including more recently at Ego Salon in Penistone.

Karen said: “We love working together and what we offer really compliments each other – we are so excited to open our new place here at Fox Valley, its great to open the doors to our clients. It’s a lovely location for us and we are really excited to be part of the Fox Valley community.”

Sophie added: “This is really exciting for us and we can’t wait to show our customers the new Penthouse Hair and Beauty Salon.”

The new salon launches at an exciting time for Fox Valley with a number of key changes and new businesses due to be announced.

Centre Manager at Fox Valley, Claire Biltcliffe said: “We are really proud of our strong independent line up of businesses and are really pleased to welcome another great local business headed by Sophie and Karen. We wish them both all the best for their new venture.”
