CC Opens in Morpeth as Part of New Sanderson Arcade Development

13 February 2009

It might have been snowing outside but the latest fantastic range of Spring and Summer clothes were on offer as CC launched its latest store in Morpeth, Northumberland.

The Mayor of Castle Morpeth Cllr Irene Brumwell officially opened the new CC store on Bridge Street in the town – the first store to open as part of the £32 million Sanderson Arcade development.

The chain, previously known as Country Casuals, has 230 stores across the UK and has now opened its latest brand new store at the 835 sq ft unit previously occupied by Nobles Amusements.

The new store opened in time to co-incide with the launch of the CC Spring/Summer collection and will stock CC’s main range as well as the petite range, jewellery and shoes.

Cllr Brumwell, who cut the ribbon on the new store and welcomed the first shoppers  said: “Its great to see CC opening here, I think it will be very popular in the town.”

The company has taken a 15 year lease and management and staff have been recruited locally and five new jobs have been created at the Morpeth store. The store stocks CC’s main range as well as the petite range, jewellery and shoes.

Public Relations Manager for Morpeth II Amanda Holmes said: “We are delighted CC is now open and trading. Its great news for the town and shows the confidence there is in the area.”

Sanderson Arcade is being brought forward by Morpeth II, the development partnership of Ethel Austin Properties and Dransfield Properties.
