Doncaster - New Retail Complex

NEW DONCASTER DEVELOPMENT DUE TO OPEN IN NOVEMBER!

Work has now been completed on Dransfield Properties' new retail development in Woodlands, Doncaster, which is set to bring a new Co-op convenience store to the area as well as three other brand new retail outlets.

United Co-operatives have taken a 4,000 sq ft unit in the new scheme, which has been developed on the site of the former Working Mens’ Club on Great North Road in Woodlands by the South Yorkshire based urban regeneration specialists Dransfield Properties Ltd. The Co-op opened on Saturday November 13th.

The £1.5 million scheme also includes three further retail units of 1,140 sq ft each – one of which is to be taken by the bookmakers Tote.

The new retail complex will bring more choice and excellent new services to the residents of this part of Doncaster at this important site.

The development is also expected to create around 35 new jobs in the area.

A total of 22 new car parking spaces is included in this major redevelopment for customers visiting the new shops.

The former Working Men’s Club closed down in December 2003 – its expected that the attractive new development, which has been designed to fit in sympathetically with this part of Doncaster – will be completed by the end of November.
