Excited shoppers gather to enjoy DJ set as Oliver Bonas opens at Sanderson Arcade

1 July 2024

Excited shoppers gathered to enjoy a DJ set and a free drink as British fashion and lifestyle retailer Oliver Bonas opened its doors to the public for the first time at Sanderson Arcade.

Visitors were welcomed in with a free non-alcoholic drink from the Drink Living Things brand, and got to take a look around the store for the first time whilst a DJ played music in the background.

Lottie Thompson, Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, said: “A lot of work has been ongoing in the background to secure such a premier brand like Oliver Bonas and it was great to see the shop open its doors and welcome in customers for the first time.

“I am sure shoppers will love their range of homeware and fashion collections – all designed from the company’s own studio.”

The brand’s signature mix of contemporary fashion, jewellery, homeware and gifts will be matched with best in-class customer service as well as a welcoming and inspiring experience.

The store will be open Monday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 5.30pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Founded in 1993 the company has grown to have over 80 stores nationwide as well as a successful multichannel operation.

The opening follows The White Company joining the Arcade last month. The two sought after brands can be found in new retail units, next door to each other, directly opposite the busy M&S store and adjoining the town’s main car park.

In addition, arts, crafts and stationery retailer The Works also opened at the centre earlier this month.

Other premium brands at the centre include Mint Velvet, Phase Eight and Hobbs.

Sanderson Arcade was developed by Yorkshire based regeneration specialists, Dransfield Properties, in 2009.

Still owned and managed by the company the team have brought a great mix of more than 40 well known high street and quality independent shops, cafes and restaurants to this part of Northumberland.
