International trade specialist moves headquarters to Marshall’s Yard

A firm which specialises in helping companies to navigate the complex world of international trade has moved its headquarters to Marshall’s Yard.

CIE Services Limited has moved from Willoughton, Lincolnshire, to a brand new office at Britannia House at the popular Gainsborough-based shopping centre.

The company has a team of customs and trade experts who help businesses to navigate global trade complexities with ease. 

They decided to move to Marshall’s Yard because of the quality of the office space, the facilities available and the centre’s central location, offering excellent transport links to the wider region.

The firm was founded five years ago by Rachel Stockton whose unusual journey to launching her own business started with – a badminton racquet.

Rachel said: “My passion for imports and exports began when I started working for a global retailer.

“While checking the accounts, I queried the duty being paid on a particular shipment and found the badminton racquets received had been incorrectly labelled as tennis racquets – which are subject to higher duty.

“I managed to save the company a significant amount of money, which led to my enduring passion for helping companies by digging into the detail of the complex world of international trade and eventually launching my own business.”

The company specialises in customs compliance, tariff codes, import and export procedures, customs warehousing, training and much more.

The team can help a wide range of clients, from multinational organisations to startups entering the world of international trade for the first time, ensuring companies are legal and compliant throughout the whole process.

The business is open Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm.
