Investor Buys Poulton’s Village Walks Shopping Centre

Market Town retail specialist Dransfield Properties Ltd has bought the Village Walks Shopping Centre in Poulton le Fylde, near Blackpool.
The company has exchanged contracts with Village Trader Ltd to buy the speciality shopping centre which houses everything from fishmongers and delicatessens to clothes shops and jewellers.
With 14 units currently trading and 10 empty the company is now looking to secure full occupancy and enhance the shopping experience at the centre. Meeting are already being held with all the tenants at the Village Walks to introduce Dransfield Properties as the new landlord.
Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, Dransfield Properties develop and manage successful shopping centres across the country.
The company won the BCSC Gold Award for the Marshall’s Yard development in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, in 2007 and last year opened the successful Sanderson Arcade development in the market town of Morpeth, Northumberland.
Retail property director at Dransfield Properties, Andrew Malley said: “We are keen to meet with all the tenants at the Village Walks in the first instance and we will then be looking at what needs to be done in terms of investment to secure full occupancy at the centre.
“We have a great deal of experience in working in market towns in other parts of the country and we are delighted to be investing here in Poulton.”
