Pandora launches a retail first with independent store format in Sheffield and Stroud
23 October 2024
Pandora – the world’s largest jewellery brand – has launched the company’s first independent department store collaboration, unveiling two new concessions at the award winning Sandersons Department Stores.
The new concept has been unveiled this month at Sandersons at Fox Valley in north Sheffield as well as the company’s sister store at Five Valleys in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
The bespoke branded areas were both launched with special instore events – opening in perfect timing for the busy Christmas season.
The new concessions are at the front of both Sandersons stores where customers can find Pandora’s full jewellery range, from the iconic charm bracelets to earrings, rings, necklaces, and the latest collections and services which are offered in Pandora stores.
The new concessions are staffed by Pandora’s expert team, who are dedicated to offering customers a personalised shopping experience, while showcasing the diverse range of hand-finished jewellery that has made Pandora the world’s largest jewellery brand.
Fox Valley and Five Valleys are owned by Sheffield based company Dransfield Properties. The company works in market towns with large and affluent catchments and has seen a growth in footfall across its portfolio in recent years.
Chairman Mark Dransfield said attracting a global brand like Pandora marks a huge milestone for the company at both locations.
He said: “We are really pleased that Pandora has chosen our independent department store Sandersons at our centres in Stroud and north Sheffield. This is something we have been working on for some time and it is really exciting to see that work come to fruition with two fantastic launches this month.
“To be chosen as the location for this exciting new format really shows the confidence there is in Five Valleys and Fox Valley. We have a unique offering at both the centres with a great independent and national brand line up – to have Pandora join that line up is fantastic.”
Sandersons works with brands including Max Mara, Boss and Holland Cooper. The department store has built a reputation for its sought-after range of luxury fragrances and for delivering a unique in store experience. In 2019 the business was named Best New Retailer in the Drapers Independent Awards.
Ross Monaghan, Sales Director at Pandora UK, said: "This marks a proud moment for Pandora as we open our first concession in collaboration with Sandersons. As a premium department store with values closely aligned to our own, this partnership feels like a natural fit.
“We are excited to see what this collaboration will deliver, allowing us to meet new customers and offer them the full Pandora jewellery experience. Our concessions feature an adapted version of our new Evoke 2.0 concept store, with all the key services customers expect, including MyPandora, click and collect, and endless aisle—where customers can order items not stocked in-store and have them delivered to their home free of charge. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this new offering will have in Stroud.”
