NEW MEDICAL AND RETAIL DEVELOPMENT IN HULL COMPLETED!

NEW MEDICAL AND RETAIL DEVELOPMENT IN HULL COMPLETED!

23 July 2004

The new-look Princes Court development in Hull has now been completed – creating a brand new doctors surgery, pharmacy, a Co-op convenience store and pizza takeaway.

The major redevelopment of Princes Court, next to the Old Zoological pub on Princes Avenue,  has been brought forward by the urban regeneration specialists Dransfield Properties Ltd, in partnership with the Hull developers Shirethorn.

As well as creating brand new retail space in this part of the city the scheme has also brought forward a first floor state of the art doctor’s surgery delivering much improved accommodation for Dr Jan Musil and Dr Paul Queenan who are moving from their old premises at 137 Princes Avenue.

They will move to their new surgery next week giving them more space and better scope to expand in the long term – patient car parking is available and a lift has been fitted to ensure easy access for all patients.

A spokesman for the GP Practice said: “We are extremely pleased to be moving in to the much improved accommodation and are looking forward to providing our patients with an even better service.”

The scheme has resulted in a remodeled £1.9 million complex providing mixed retail and medical accommodation.

Princes Medical Centre and Goodyear Pharmacy open on Monday 26th July. The brand new 3,000 sq ft Co-op store will open on August 10th creating around 25 new jobs in the area.

Goodyear pharmacy is relocating from existing premises on 93 Princes Avenue to Princes Court and Perfect Pizza’s takeaway is already open for trade.

There is now only one remaining unit, which is being marketed by local agents PPH in Hull who can be contacted on 01482 648888.

Dransfield Properties has been involved with many high profile developments across Hull including the St Andrew’s Retail Park on Hessle Road and The Mount on Holderness Road, which was officially opened by the Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott MP in December last year.

Development Surveyor for Dransfield Properties, James Howson said:   “We are delighted that the Princes Court development is now completed and the occupiers are moving in to their new premises.

“The Co-op will be opening for trade on August 10th and we are confident the new convenience store will be very well used in the area. The medical centre in this location is a huge benefit to the local community and together with the pharmacy, this will be a very vibrant busy complex.”
