Sponsorship deal helps to spread the word about John Crawshaw Butchers in Fox Valley

Thousands of people are hearing about the high-quality meats being served up by a long-established butchers shop thanks to a unique sponsorship deal with Fox Valley shopping centre.

John Crawshaw Butchers has been serving high-quality beef, pork, lamb and other cuts to the people of Sheffield and beyond for several decades after being founded by Brian Crawshaw in Stocksbridge in the 1950s.

The current Stocksbridge shop was one of the original businesses to open at Fox Valley when the shopping centre launched in 2016 and to this day enjoys a loyal customer-base whilst also attracting new shoppers thanks to their wide range of products.

The business is now enjoying some time in the limelight having signed a sponsorship deal with Fox Valley to spread the word about their top-quality meats and other products.

This includes four branded signs on the main roundabout in and out of the shopping centre that is seen by thousands of motorists and pedestrians daily, plus other modes of promotion via social media and the Fox Valley website.

Butcher and company director Rob Howe said: "This is a great deal for us because it helps us to get the good word out there about everything we are doing here at the shop to ensure we are providing our customers with the highest quality meats.

"If you have a good business, it is very important to make sure you promote it well, so people know what you have to offer and where they can come and visit you."

Anyone who knows Sheffield will know that the Steel City is synonymous with the term Seven Hills - the theory being that the city is built on seven hills, much like the Italian capital Rome.

Crawshaws have given the Seven Hills label to all of their beef, pork and lamb in recognition of it being sourced from farms within a 30-mile radius of their shops.

Their Seven Hills beef is matured on-site for added flavour and tenderness. This includes a wide range of steaks such as Sirloin, Rump, Fillet, Rib Eye and T-bone – plus the full selection of traditional joints like Top Side, Silverside, Sirloin and Brisket.

The company has also won numerous awards over the years for its high-quality cuts, starting with the Scottish Lamb Promotion Award in 1992, whilst more recently Crawshaws won a whole host of accolades  during British Sausage Week in 2016.

Rob and the team are now gearing up for the busy Autumn and Christmas season.

He said: "Our beef cuts are popular at the moment because people like to put them in stews in the slow cooker, particularly when the weather gets a little colder when we head into Autumn.

"We will also be offering our fantastic Christmas hampers from about October onwards that you can order online and pick up in-store.

"As a team we're all really excited for our busy season coming up so we hope to see you in-store."
