Work progressing well on new Lime Square units

Work on the blockwork and the cladding on the latest phase of development work at Lime Square is well underway and the contractors PDR construction are making good progress.

The brand new gym and further retail units at the centre are really starting to take shape now.

The contractors moved on to site in November last year to start work on a brand new 15,000 sq. ft. gym for The Gym Group as well as further new retail units at the popular shopping centre which is anchored by an 80,000 sq. ft. Morrison’s store.

The Gym Group is taking a key unit fronting Ashton Old Road and will start fitting out their brand new unit in June, with The Gym opening Autumn 2014. 

An extra 42 car parking spaces are also being created close to the gym.

Lime Square has been delivered by retail developers Dransfield Properties Ltd working in partnership with New East Manchester and Manchester City Council as part of the strategic regeneration of this part of the city.

Head of Communications at Dransfield Properties, Amanda Holmes, said: “It’s great to see good progress being made on this final phase of work at Lime Square. We’re looking forward to welcoming The Gym Group to the centre and we’re expecting to make several other announcements over the next few weeks.”
