Dransfield Properties has entered the Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 - its first entry in the prestigious league table. The firm's director's (pictured) attended a special reception in London to mark the achievement joining company's from ascross the UK.
The league table ranks Britain's privately-owned companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years of available audited accounts.
Mark Dransfield, Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, said: “It was a surprise to be named in the list. We are a private company that has expanded in a difficult climate. Over the last two years we have invested heavily in our staff and in our shopping centres which has had a positive impact on the company’s performance.
“The business has focused heavily on customer service and despite a tough trading environment our pro-active approach to management has kept our shopping centres fully let and growing.
“We shifted our focus some years ago, in line with government policy, to delivering quality developments in town and district centres and that is still the main focus of our work.
“We have been very fortunate to work in some fantastic market towns and district centres in recent years and hope our investment in areas such as Gainsborough, Morpeth and Openshaw have had a positive and lasting impact.”
Dransfield Properties owns and manages Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire as well as Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, Northumberland. Both centres have won high profile national awards. The company also worked with Manchester City Council on the Lime Square development in Openshaw, east Manchester which is part of the carefully master planned regeneration of this part of the city. Work is currently underway on phase 4 of the development.
In South Yorkshire the company delivered the town centre regeneration scheme in Penistone and work has just startedn on the final phase of the scheme bringing new office and commercial units to a key gateway site in the town. Work is also due to start later this year on the Fox Valley development on a former steelworks site in Stocksbridge.
The company is based in Tankersley, Barnsley and last year celebrated its 20th anniversary.
