Dransfield's Marathon Man hits his Target !

DRANSFIELD Properties accountant Steve Stead is recovering this week after completing the London Marathon at the weekend - crossing the finishing line in the impressive time of 3 hours 37minutes and 59 seconds.

Steve, 31, sporting his Dransfield running vest,  proved that all his early morning and lunchtime training had paid off by completing the 26.2 mile course in his target time.

A keen runner, Steve has been training for nearly six months. Past achievements include the Nottingham Marathon and the Leeds Abbey Dash.

Dad of three Steve who's from Penistone, said,  ‘It was a great event to take part in, the support from the crowds all the way round was unbelievable and it really gave me the push I needed to get to the finish line. I’m really pleased with my time and it really feels like all the training was worthwhile."

Steve has so far raised £350 for the Stroke Association but would like to make it up to £400 so to celebrate his achievement and give to this worthwhile charity visit his Just Giving site at http://www.justgiving.co.uk/steve-stead
