Insurance Broker prepares for future growth with Fox Valley move

13 January 2016

The leading local insurance Broker Fletcher Smith is moving to brand new offices at the new Fox Valley development in north Sheffield next month.

The Fletcher Smith team are the latest company to announce plans to move to the new, high specification offices which have been completed as part of the £50 million town centre development.

Fletcher Smith Insurance Brokers have a workforce of 17 people and the new headquarters will be based at Samuel House – the 1,245 sq. ft. premises providing the space the firm needs for future growth as well as having great links with the wider region.

The company has been based in north Sheffield for nearly 30 years and offers a wide range of business, commercial and personal insurance services. The current owners, East Pennine Insurance Consultants Limited acquired the business in 2010.

Currently based in Hillsborough the Fletcher Smith team had been looking for some time for the right location for their growing business before choosing Fox Valley.

Operations Director Michele Craven said: “We pride ourselves on great customer service and creating strong, long term relationships with our clients. Fox Valley is a fantastic location for us to build on those relationships.

“We cover a wide area and our new headquarters also puts us in a great position to access the whole region. This move is a key part of the company’s future plans for growth and we are delighted to be part of the Fox Valley development and look forward to our team being based at the new Samuel House offices.”

Dave Hale, development surveyor at Dransfield Properties, said: “It’s great news that the new Fletcher Smith headquarters will be at Samuel House and we’re delighted to welcome Michele and the team to Fox Valley.

“We’re confident Samuel House will be a great location for the company’s continued growth and success and we wish them all the very best in their new premises.”

As well as high spec office space the Fox Valley development will deliver around 32 new retail, café and restaurant units ranging from 635 to 16,000 sq. ft and built around a 600 space customer car park. The Fox Valley shopping centre will open in June 2016.

Dransfield Properties has received an investment of £8,111,040 from the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme 2007- 2013, which is managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government to bring forward the Fox Valley project.
