Jack Fulton Opens New Store at Selby's Market Cross!

6 May 2009

The frozen food retailer Jack Fulton is opening a new store at Selby’s Market Cross – taking the former Roseby’s units at the town centre shopping arcade.

The chain is taking the 2,100 sq ft store over a ten year term and has started fitting out the Market Cross unit with an expected opening at the end of May.

Jack Fulton has nearly 70 shops across the North of England offering a comprehensive range of branded frozen foods as well as a growing range of other groceries and chilled foods.

The company will take the former Roseby’s unit at the centre and will continue trading from its Gowthorpe store in Selby – around eight new jobs are expected to be created within the store.

This latest letting means that the 23 unit centre is now fully let again. Local company CJ’s opened their new cafe at Market Cross last month and Alexander Cards, who have two units on the centre have just renewed leases on their shops.

Market Cross is anchored by Homebargains - other retailers include Yeomans, Holland and Barrett, Thomas Cook, Greggs and Yorkshire Bank.

Dave Hale, Development Surveyor at Dransfield Properties said: “We have been keen to fill the empty unit since Roseby’s closed and Jack Fultons will be a great addition to our line up at Market Cross. It is a vibrant and busy town centre shopping development and we are delighted that it is fully let once again.”

The Jack Fulton unit was let by Leeds based agents Rees Denton.
