Pandora launches retail "first" at Sheffield independent department store

10 October 2024

Pandora – the world’s largest jewellery brand – has today launched its first independent department store concession at the award winning Sandersons store at Fox Valley in north Sheffield.

The stunning new concession can be found on the ground floor of the Fox Valley store where shoppers can find Pandora’s full jewellery range, from its iconic charm bracelets to earrings, rings, necklaces, and the latest collections and services offered in Pandora stores.

The bespoke branded area was launched with a special ribbon cutting at the store on Thursday October 10th – launching in perfect timing for the busy Christmas season.

The concession is staffed by Pandora’s expert team, who are dedicated to offering customers a personalised shopping experience, while showcasing the diverse range of hand-finished jewellery that has made Pandora the world’s largest jewellery brand.

This marks Pandora’s first collaboration with an independent department store, expanding its retail footprint in a unique new way.

Sanderson Department store was founded 2016 at Fox Valley in Sheffield with a sister store opening in Stroud, Gloucestershire, in 2021. The company is independent, and family owned and works with brands including Max Mara, Boss and Holland Cooper.  Pandora also launches next week in Stroud.

The department store has built a reputation for its sought-after range of luxury fragrances and for delivering a unique in store experience. In 2019 the business was named Best New Retailer in the Drapers Independent Awards.

Louise Fearnehough, Managing Director at Sandersons Department Store, said: “We are so excited to have launched our new Pandora concession here at Sandersons and to be welcoming such a fabulous brand in our stores in Sheffield and next week in Stroud.

“To be chosen as the first independent department store to work with the company on this concept really is fantastic and our Pandora concession looks absolutely amazing, our customers are delighted to be able to shop one of their favourite brands right here at Sandersons!”

Founded in 1982 by Danish goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie, Pandora has grown from a small jewellery shop in Copenhagen to an internationally recognised brand, present in over 100 countries.

Ross Monaghan, Sales Director at Pandora UK, said: "This marks a proud moment for Pandora as we open our first concession in collaboration with Sandersons. As a premium department store with values closely aligned to our own, this partnership feels like a natural fit.

We’re excited to see what this collaboration will deliver, allowing us to meet new customers and offer them the full Pandora jewellery experience. Our concession will feature an adapted version of our new Evoke 2.0 concept store, with all the key services customers expect, including MyPandora, click and collect, and endless aisle—where customers can order items not stocked in-store and have them delivered to their home free of charge. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this new offering will have in Stroud and Sheffield."

Fox Valley is in Stocksbridge North Sheffield and has a great line up of stores. As well as Sandersons the centre is home to Seasalt, JoJo Maman Bebe and Pavers and the region’s only standalone Trek Cycle store. Cafés and restaurants include Costa Coffee, Zorro Lounge and the popular Ponti’s Italian Kitchen.
