Surya Chamak brings a ray of sunshine to Stroud town centre

Jewellery brand Surya Chamak is the latest retailer due to open at Stroud’s Five Valleys centre with a brand-new store in the busy mall area.

Owned by businesswoman Reena Gohil-Khetani the store will offer a curated selection of high-quality jewellery made from surgical stainless steel which is all 18k gold plated or sterling silver plated.

Surya Chamak has built up a great following at local fairs, pop-ups and markets as well as through online sales – now Reena is looking forward to launching her first physical store at Five Valleys.

The stunning range of fabulous pieces at affordable prices will be available from Saturday September 7th. Reena has transformed the unit next to Sports Direct and Sandersons into a stylish and contemporary store.

Surya Chamak in Hindi means sunshine and Reena has founded her business on a passion for staying ahead of the trends and selecting styles and designs which range from timeless classics to contemporary designs.

Reena said: “This is a real dream for me to open my own shop – I started the business in February this year and my range has been really popular at the markets and pop ups I’ve taken part in.

“I cannot wait to open the doors to Surya Chamak’s first actual store. It’s really exciting and fantastic to be launching my business here at Five Valleys in Stroud.”

Centre Manager at Five Valleys, Erica Malpass, said: “We are really pleased to be welcoming Reena to Five Valleys, Surya Chamak has such a lovely range of pieces. It’s great to be working with another fantastic local independent company.”

Customers who visit the store on opening day on Saturday and make a purchase will be entered into a special prize draw to win a Surya Chamak voucher.

Five Valleys is home to a great range of national and independent retailers as well as a popular Borough Market style market area with artisan traders and a great line up of street food. The centre is also home to a new purpose-built medical centre and the town’s new library.
