Three reasons to celebrate as trio of businesses commit future to popular Sanderson Arcade
24 April 2024
A trio of businesses have committed their future to Sanderson Arcade in a move that is sure to be welcomed by clients at the popular Morpeth-based shopping centre.
SG Aesthetics, Advice4Business North East and Signature North East – which all offer very different but vital services for people in the North East - have all recently signed lease extensions to continue their stay at the centre.
And the owners of all three businesses have told why they decided to commit their future to Sanderson Arcade, praising its central location, convenience and brilliant client base.
Estate agents Signature North East was launched by Mark Small in 2010 and has grown from a team of two operating out of a single office in Whitley Bay to 19 locations across the North East and a team of more than 50 staff.
Signature has also dealt with £2 billion worth of property sales in that time.
They have been based at Sanderson Arcade for five years and Mark praised the centre’s busy location as a key reason why they have decided to extend their lease.
He said: “The high footfall at the centre is brilliant for us and we actually get a lot of people coming into the office to speak to us, which is really refreshing and is something different as a lot of our business has moved to online.
“We have a great team, and great customers, and it’s been a pleasure to see the company grow in the way it has.”
The second business to sign a lease extension is Advice4Business North East, which is a team of specialists and experts who can provide advice and support to businesses in a range of areas including financial planning, growth strategies and team building through one-to-one mentorships, workshops and seminars.
Founder Linda Lowther said Sanderson Arcade has played a big part in adding to the ‘cosmopolitan feel of Morpeth’.
She added: “I like it so much I moved here from Alnwick and I don’t think I will ever move again, I’m here for life. I very often meet clients in the cafes and restaurants we have here including Barluga, Martino Lounge and Central Bean Coffee House, and they always say how much they love it.”
Sarah Gilmour, founder of SG Aesthetics, has joined Mark and Linda in extending the lease of her business at the centre.
SG Aesthetics specialises in non-surgical aesthetic practice and can offer patients a wide range of treatments including wrinkle-relaxing injections, dermal fillers, fat dissolving, facial sculpting, and much more.
Sarah said: “I love how seasonal the centre feels, so for example when it’s Easter the Easter Bunny will be out, and all the festive decorations are up over Christmas. There is always a real buzz about the place.
“In addition, not everyone feels comfortable about other people knowing they have had a cosmetic treatment. The position of the clinic is discreetly located with car parking extremely accessible.”
Lottie Thompson, Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, said: “It is great to see these three businesses extending their stay at our lovely centre and it really does show the high level of confidence that companies have in Sanderson Arcade and Morpeth as a town where they can really do business.”
The trio of lease renewals also comes after we announced three new shops will be coming to Sanderson Arcade in the next few months in the space formally occupied by independent department store chain Sandersons.
Luxury lifestyle retailer The White Company, whose products range from elevated essentials for your home and wardrobe to luxury gifts, will be opening their new store soon.
And they will be accompanied by The Works, the UK’s leading family-friendly value retailer of gifts, arts, crafts, toys, books and stationery.
UK-based Oliver Bonas, which specialises in fashion, dresses, jewellery, homeware, furniture and gift shopping, will complete the line-up.
Details about openings will be made soon.
In addition, the Arcade has an impressive existing retail line-up including top premium brands such as Mint Velvet, Crew, Phase Eight and Hobbs as well as several restaurants, coffee shops, a large M&S store, and a number of independents.
Sanderson Arcade is owned and managed by the Sheffield based property company Dransfield Properties.
