Aldi builds on success in Selby with store extension

Premium discount retailer Aldi has extended it's store at Dransfield Properties' Three Lakes Retail Park in Selby - the new look store will be open to customers next week.

After a three day closure for a full fit out the new look larger store will be unveiled on Thursday July 9th at 9am in the morning.

Shoppers can even look forward to extended opening hours once the store re-opens, with an extra hour of trading promised Monday through to Wednesday, meaning the store will close at a later time of 8.00pm rather than 7.00pm.

Store Manager, Shaun McCowliff and his team will be closing the doors to the store on Three Lakes Retail Park to make way for a bigger, brighter and better store than before. Shoppers can look forward to a 24% bigger shop floor, stocking even more top quality, value for money products.

The store will benefit from more display units, new chillers to stock more fresh meat and new freezers stocking a wider selection of produce. In addition, there will be more shop floor space to showcase Aldi’s ‘special buys’ available in store every Thursday and Sunday.

Work is already in progress at the popular store with the exciting redevelopment taking shape but it is business as usual and Aldi continues to offer a wide selection of high quality goods, from locally baked bread through to household cleaning products and beauty essentials, as well as fresh flowers, a variety of chilled goods, including a selection of the finest continental deli foods, plus a range of premium frozen products.

Shaun said: “Preparations are well underway to reveal an impressive new look store here in Selby. We look forward to offering a wider range of quality goods at affordable prices, as well as offering customers a more relaxing shopping environment.

“We are planning a celebratory re-opening for our customers, but in the meantime it’s business as usual and we are keeping disruption to an absolute minimum so customers can continue to enjoy shopping at the store.”
