Two shopping centres developed and owned by South Yorkshire based Dransfield Properties Ltd have been shortlisted for leading national industry awards.
The SCEPTRE Awards are held every year to recognise best practice in the shopping centre industry and organisers have announced this week that Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, Northumberland, and Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough have both been shortlisted in their categories.
Sanderson Arcade is among six new schemes which have been nominated for Development Team Of The Year and at Marshall’s Yard the Centre Manager Jackie Helliwell, 26, is among the finalists for Young Achiever of The Year.
Jackie started working for Dransfield Properties in 2005 and has been closely involved in the Marshall’s Yard project from the development stage through to the completion and opening of the successful scheme which she now manages.
Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, Dransfield Properties specialises in market town and district centre retail developments. Working in partnership with Prospect Estates the firm developed and opened Marshall’s Yard in 2007, work started the following year on the prestigious Sanderson Arcade development which was opened by Joanna Lumley OBE in November 2009.
Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, Mark Dransfield said: “We are delighted that both Sanderson Arcade and Marshall’s Yard have been shortlisted for the SCEPTRE Awards. It is always extremely rewarding for everyone involved in a project to be acknowledged within our industry.”
The winners of the SCEPTRE Awards will be announced at a charity dinner which will be held at the Dorchester on June 22nd.
