The new bus interchange which has been developed as part of the £32 million Sanderson Arcade development in Morpeth is due to be officially opened this week.
Leader of Castle Morpeth Borough Council Cllr Peter Jackson will cut the ribbon to mark the event on Thursday March 5th.
And members of the Morpeth Initiative will also be unveiling a plaque to mark the re-siting of the piece of art in the new bus station known as the Morpeth Melange.
As well as the new interchange the development also includes a Martin McColl Newsagents, brand new offices for the Castle Morpeth Disability Association and new public toilets.
Managing Director of Morpeth II, Mark Dransfield, said: “With the opening of CC on Bridge Street and now the bus station completion it is great to see things starting to take shape on site.
“We are very excited about the next phase, working on the Edwardian Arcade which is going to look stunning when its completed.”
