Dransfield Properties celebrate spectacular league win with North Ferriby Football Club - a team the property developers have supported for the past 28 years.

Last Saturday [April 1], the club became champions of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division just 12 months after securing promotion from Division One, earning back-to-back promotions for the first time in over 100 years of football at North Ferriby.

The team lifted the trophy at the Dransfield Stadium following victory against Handsworth.

Mark Dransfield DL, Chairman of Dransfield Properties, has close personal links with the club having played for North Ferriby’s reserves side as a teenager in the 1980s.

Club Chairman, Les Hare, said “As a not-for-profit community football club, team Dransfield's support has not only aided us achieve such wonderful heights, but also enables the development of our youth programme facilitating over 250 local youngsters.”

The highlights since the company started sponsoring was when the team made two visits to Wembley, one in 1997 to the FA Vase Final and again in 2015 where after a nail-biting game against Wrexham went to penalties. The team made footballing history after being crowned the winners of the 2015 FA Trophy.

Mark Dransfield DL, said: “We’re proud to be backing the team at what is a monumental time in the club's history. Back-to-back promotions are unprecedented and highlights what a talented team the club has and the standards instilled in them by the management team.”

North Ferriby pride themselves on being a ‘not for profit’ community football club, providing opportunities to more than 200 youngsters, as well as having ladies, intermediate, reserve, and senior team players.

The club have also made inspirational changes to its grounds, becoming more sustainable and helping the environment. North Ferriby is now one of the few football grounds that is 100% eco friendly, using renewable energy, eco friendly floodlights and biodegradable waste.
