About Peacocks

Founded in 1884, Peacocks was known as Penny Bazaar and was launched by Albert Frank Peacock in Cheshire. A true Victorian Penny Bazaar, it sold anything and everything and Albert’s principle of value helped Peacocks develop a successful business that continued to grow throughout the twentieth century. In 1940, Albert’s son, Harold, moved the business to its current home in Cardiff.

Peacocks today is a leading high street and online fashion retailer focused on quality and value for all the family and exceeds 340 stores in the UK.  It currently collaborates with brand ambassadors Louise Redknapp on a women’s fashion range, Michael Owen a menswear range and Caprice a lingerie range.

This year marks 140 years of the brand trading.
